AddThis was a free social bookmarking service that could be integrated into a Magento and Shopify websites with the use of a web widget or embed code. Once added, it displayed your social media icons so that your visitors of a website share (or bookmark) an item using a variety of services, such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter (X).

The service was quietly terminated in 2023, but on some sites the icons still appears - but did not work after this date.

There are replacement services such as 'ShareThis' https://sharethis.com/ which offers the standard 'share' feature with some extra features such as Follow and Reaction buttons plus segmented and curated data, personalisation and more.
